Wild idea about the environment

The computer together with the internet, also known as the "information highway," has totally revolutionized the way we access information may it be as useful as theories on nanotechnology, or unique as porn, or less important such as daily accounts of a personal blog.

These inventions are continuously, inch by inch, making paper as the foundation for information access obsolete. That seems to be a good thing for environmentalist - save the trees as they cry out- but the pollution is also created by making all the hardwares. But if only these hardwares are just upgradeable and that hardware becomes the standard laptop/notepad/ or whatever they call it, then the earth has a shot in the future.

But again, the marketplace works by way of the invisible hands. The law could only do so much as compared to peoples'preference. And I believe that educating the people about the environment will be the first step. This is where information of the information technology comes in.
